The Science Shop assists non-profit organizations to transform a social issue into a research query. Students conduct the research. Experienced researchers guide the students.

Thanks to the support of the Flemish authorities, WetenschapsWinkel.be is a network of university based science shop in Flanders. This network currently consists of 6 Science Shops: one at the Universiteit Antwerpen and one at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, one at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, one at the Universiteit Gent, one at the Universiteit Hasselt and one at the Katholieke Universiteit Brussel.
