The Logbook: peilen naar impact. Een test door Antwerpse jeugdwerkers.

This qualitative study focuses on the experiences of professional Antwerp youth workers when implementing 'The Logbook' in their organisation. This is a Swedish tool that is being used for the first time in the Flemish context with the aim of helping youth workers to reflect on the impact of youth work. This is because there are several thresholds that make it difficult to prove the impact youth work has. For this research interviews were conducted with four Antwerp youth workers, one Ghent youth worker and the city youth administration of Antwerp and Ghent. Based on the initial experiences of the youth workers, it is concluded that The Logbook has potential to help measure impact given some technical adjustments and a thorough preparation for the youth workers with a focus on vision development and how to operationalize impact. Currently there are still some challenges with contextualizing the tool correctly to the Flemish context.
